Salvador Perez Leaves Saturday's Game With Back Tightness
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (back) was removed from Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians due to back tightness. He first started feeling the tightness after diving for a bunt in the third inning. He stayed in the game initially and even hit a two-run home run after the dive. However, he was eventually taken out of the game and replaced by Sebastian Rivero. Perez is scheduled to be further evaluated on Sunday. With the All-Star break beginning on Monday, there's a strong chance that Perez sits out Sunday's game and he may also be questionable for Monday's Home Run Derby now.
