Salvador Perez Hits Walk-Off Single On Tuesday
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez capped off a dramatic ninth inning come-from-behind win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. The ninth inning began with the Royals trailing 6-2, but the team went on to put a rally together, bringing Perez to the plate with the winning run on base. Perez delivered by hitting a walk-off single, sending Nicky Lopez home to score the game-winning run. Overall, Perez went 2-for-5 in the game. He is now slashing .281/.307/.509 with 20 home runs, 51 RBI and 40 runs over 85 games on the year. He looks to be the pretty clear top fantasy catcher in all formats as we near the All-Star break.
