Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Ryne Stanek was removed during Sunday's outing against the Los Angeles Angels. The 32-year-old took over for Logan Gilbert in the eighth inning. He issued a four-pitch walk on which none of the pitches were close to the zone. It prompted a visit from the training staff and his removal from the contest. The injury and the severity of the issue are unknown at the moment. The assumption is that the Mariners will give more details on the injury after further testing.--Andy Webb
