Ryan Zimmerman Plays Well During Rehab Game

Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman (oblique) went 2-for-2 with a double, walk, and three runs scored during Monday's rehab game with Potomac. He was also able to play five innings at first base without any issues. Zimmerman is expected to rejoin the Nats on Friday following the All-Star break. Matt Adams, Mark Reynolds and Daniel Murphy have been playing first base in his absence. The Nats are still going to need to find a way to get Adams and Reynolds involved once Zimmerman returns. It remains to be seen how manager Dave Martinez elects to use his players. Fantasy owners should be reluctant to jump on Zimmerman right now. He should be owned in NL-only and deep leagues, but besides that fantasy owners should wait and see what happens.
