Ryan Zimmerman Makes Solid Contact In His 2018 Debut
7 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman went 1-for-2 in his spring training debut on Friday. The veteran 33-year-old had been held from playing earlier due to stiffness and a history of injury. He lined a shot to the right fielder in his first at-bat and doubled the second time up. Zimmerman regained his youthful form in 2017, posting career highs in home runs and RBI. He's always had thump but it's hard to trust a full season from him at this point in his career. He's a good late-round pick, but you'll need someone on your bench to back him up.
