Ryan Yarbrough Slated For Rehab Start At Triple-A Saturday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (groin) is scheduled to make a rehab start at Triple-A Durham on Saturday. He is expected to pitch three or four innings in the start. According to Rays manager Kevin Cash, if the outing goes well, Yarbrough could be activated from the injured list. However, if there are any lingering concerns, he could make one additional rehab start. The 30-year-old was placed on the injured list due to a minor groin injury just a few days into the regular season. He was projected to be one of the team's starting pitchers to open the year and he is likely to become part of the rotation once he is back.
