Ryan Yarbrough Posts Quality Start In Sunday’s No-Decision
3 years agoTampa Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings during Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Angels. He did not factor into the decision. The 29-year-old yielded an RBI single to Phil Gosselin in the fourth frame and then surrendered an RBI double to Shohei Ohtani in the sixth inning. Yarbrough posted a quality start for the first time since June 11 and bounced back on Sunday after allowing at least five runs in each of his previous two starts. The southpaw owns a 4.48 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and a 70: 15 K: BB across 86 1/3 innings in 2021. Yarbrough is scheduled to face the Blue Jays on the road in his next start.
