5 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Ryan Weber will start on Thursday against the Blue Jays on the road. It will come in the place of Hector Velazquez, who was lit up in his last turn in the rotation. Weber, 28, has starting experience but has thrown just eight innings in three relief outings for Boston this year with a tidy 1.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and seven strikeouts. He's an intriguing possibility for deep league streamers if he makes any additional starts moving forward, but he doesn't come recommended against Toronto and their hitter-friendly home ballpark on Thursday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
