Ryan Tannehill Unable To Throw
6 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was limited in practice on Wednesday. He worked on his footwork and handed the ball off with his right arm, but he didn't throw. "Anything that has to do with pocket movement, footwork, things like that, he can do everything," head coach Gase said Wednesday. "He just can't throw." Rest has been recommended for Tannehill, and the team plans to make sure he's healthy and ready for the stresses of throwing before he starts again. Gase is unsure if Tannehill is facing a long-term recovery, but he's confident the quarterback will be back in 2018. Tannehill will be the starter again over Brock Osweiler when he's healthy. Tannehill hasn't done much for fantasy owners this year and hasn't even gone over 300 yards in any of his five starts. With him being on a week-to-week basis, he's droppable in shallow leagues. While Osweiler put up 380 yards passing in the Week 6 overtime win over the Bears, he'll remain a low-end QB2 this Sunday against the Lions.
