Toronto Maple Leafs right wing Ryan Reaves has been suspended for five games for an illegal check to the head of Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse. Reaves delivered a big hit with his shoulder to Nurse's head in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win, which forced Nurse to exit the game with an upper-body injury. Reaves was ejected from the game following the incident. The veteran enforcer received his fourth career suspension. He will be eligible to return to the lineup on Dec. 4 versus Nashville. Reaves added 15 penalty minutes to his tally on Saturday and now has 23 penalty minutes for the season through 16 games. He has also recorded 44 hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
