Ryan Pressly Takes Another Loss Tuesday
2 years agoHouston Astros closer Ryan Pressly continued to struggle in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Pirates. Pressly came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning with the game tied. He allowed a leadoff single, got the first out on a strikeout, allowed another single, and then gave up a walk-off three-run home run to Ji Hwan Bae. The 34-year-old's performance has been a bit concerning so far, as he is 0-2 with no saves, an 8.44 ERA, and a dip in velocity on his main pitches. He does have six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings pitched and does have strong job security, so he should be given some time to figure things out. That being said, fantasy managers should keep an eye on him in his next several outings.
