Ryan Noda Hitting Out Of Two-Hole Monday
2 years agoOakland A's first baseman Ryan Noda will hit second Monday when the A's take on Chicago Cubs right-hander Hayden Wesneski. It's the sixth start out of the two-hole for the lefty-swinging Noda who is off to a productive start to his season. He's hitting just .211 but Noda has two homers, a double, nine runs, and a stolen base to his credit across 49 trips to the plate. He's struck out in 32.7% of his plate appearances on the young season but he's managed to post a strong 22.4% BB% which has helped lead to a 134 wRC+ that checks in 34% above the league average. The 27-year-old offered a strong combination of power and speed at Triple-A last season, hitting 25 homers with 20 stolen bases across 135 games in the Dodgers system.
