1 year agoRyan Newman is back behind the wheel of a Cup Series car this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as the veteran driver will pilot the No. 15 Ford for Rick Ware Racing. In practice, Newman struggled quite a bit, posting just the 34th-fastest lap out of the 36 drivers that practiced. His 10-lap average during that session ranked 20th-fastest out of the 21 drivers that made a longer run, beating only Austin Dillon on that chart. Earlier this season, Newman finished 28th at Darlington while driving for Rick Ware Racing, and that's about the ceiling that you should expect out of "The Rocketman" here at New Hampshire on Sunday.--Jordan McAbee
