Ryan Mountcastle Going Off In June
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/outfielder Ryan Mountcastle had a rough April (.198/.229/.286), but he started to pick up the pace in May (.256/.283/.465) and has been unstoppable in June (.361/.378/.694). In the last two weeks, Mountcastle is slashing .319/.333/.574 with four home runs and nine RBI. His 12 home runs on the season trail only Adolis Garcia's 18 among all rookies in 2021. The highlight of the 24-year-old's season so far was his three-home run game three days ago in which he went 4-for-4 with four RBI, three runs scored and a single. If you were patient enough to hang onto him through his rough April, you're definitely reaping the benefits now. The American League Rookie of the Year candidate should be owned everywhere.
