The Colorado Avalanche acquired center Ryan Johansen in a trade with the Nashville Predators on Saturday. As part of the deal, Nashville received depth forward Alex Galchenyuk and the Predators retain 50 percent of Johansen's contract. The 30-year-old has two seasons to go on a big $64 million pact that has an eight million cap hit. Johansen is coming off a down year which was cut short by a broken leg. He posted 28 points across 55 outings before getting injured in late February. Johansen's play has been inconsistent for a few years now, but he will be in a good bounce-back sport next season, with the Vancouver native projected to be the second-line center on a good Colorado team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
