2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley (knee) was unavailable for Saturday's game against the Detroit Tigers due to knee soreness. According to Cardinals manager Oil Marmol, the knee injury is not considered serious, and the team hopes Helsley will be available to pitch on Sunday. It explains why the 28-year-old did not pitch during Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss. He is considered day-to-day for now. Helsley is 2-for-3 in save opportunities with a 3.75 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and a 16:5 K: BB across 12 innings in 2023.
