6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun provided a worthy encore performance Tuesday versus the Cardinals. Monday he had hit his first homer in several games. Tuesday, he would outdo that performance with two HR and three RBI. The HR brought his total to 18 of the season. Braun has not had a good season based on his career standards where he used to be one of the best offensive forces in the National League. He is only hitting .251 with 18 HR and 59 RBI which is not particularly impressive by the standards of fantasy outfielders, especially for a player who used to be a mainstay in the first round of drafts. In fact, he is not even a sure-fire everyday starter in his own team's outfield.--Jamie Mellor
