Ryan Braun Homers Twice Friday
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun came out clutch for his team Friday versus Detroit. He would first solo homer in the bottom of the first to erase the last of the three-run deficit the Brewers faced after the first half-inning. Later, he would hit another solo homer in the bottom of the eighth inning for the game-winner in a wild 6-5 victory. Braun has hit five HR in the past four games to push his seasonal total to 20. Braun has not had a good season based on his career standards where he used to be one of the best offensive forces in the National League. He is only hitting .254 with 20 HR and 61 RBI which is not particularly impressive by the standards of fantasy outfielders, especially for a player who used to be a mainstay in the first round of drafts. The recent heroics may not have been enough to help all of his fantasy owners, but it does show there is still a spark of talent left in him.
