5 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Ryan Borucki (elbow) was scheduled to throw on flat ground up to 90 feet on Monday, and general manager Ross Atkins said that Borucki could get back on a mound "very soon." He was a candidate to land a rotation spot entering camp, but his setback with his arm likely rules him out for a rotation spot, at least to begin the season. The 25-year-old (26 later this month) left-hander also made just two starts (6 2/3 frames) in 2019 due to arm troubles, so he's no sure thing to stay healthy for the duration of the regular season. He won't have any fantasy appeal in mixed leagues unless he's making starts for the Blue Jays in 2020, and even then he's a deep league streamer, at best.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
