Ryan Blaney Should Contend in the Brickyard 400

Fresh off his win at Pocono Raceway last weekend--his second victory in the last five races--Ryan Blaney will be looking to go back-to-back at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon, as the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the oval track for the Brickyard 400. Blaney has made six career starts on the Indy oval with a career-best finish of seventh coming in the 2019 event. Seventh is exactly where Blaney will start this weekend as well. Pocono is a very comparable track to Indianapolis, and Blaney led the most laps there last weekend en route to victory after starting eighth. This weekend, the No. 12 Ford was second-fastest in practice and ranked 10th-best in 10-lap average. It's worth noting, though, that everyone ahead of Blaney in 10-lap average made their run later in the session, likely when the track was faster. Blaney should be a contender on Sunday and is a great tournament option on DraftKings.
