7 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook continued his shooting slump against the Orlando Magic on Monday night. He scored just eight points on a dreadful 3-for-12 shooting. Nonetheless, in typical Westbrook fashion, he did fill up the stat sheet in other ways with 12 rebounds, 11 assists and one steal. But Westbrook's poor shooting is starting to turn into a bit of a concern. Over his last 10 games, Westbrook is shooting just 39 percent from the field. Moreover, Westbrook hasn't faced tough defenses in this stretch, either. For instance, he's shot poorly against bottom-five defenses like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Sacremento Kings. The Thunder take on the Dallas Mavericks next, who have been notoriously bad at defending points guard this season, giving up the most points per game to opposing point guards at 24.2 per game. Hopefully, Westbrook can correct his poor shooting in this favorable matchup.--Daniel Brodie
