4 years agoChicago Cubs reliever Rowan Wick picked up his second save of the season on Monday versus the Royals. Wick entered the game in the top of the eighth to record the final out of the inning and finished the game with one-hit allowed. Wick has now recorded the last two saves for the Cubs. The Cubs still have Craig Kimbrel and it’s likely that they are just giving him a few days rest to try to reset, but Wick appears to be the favorite for saves if Kimbrel is formally removed from the role.
