Ross Stripling To Make Wednesday's Start
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Ross Stripling is the scheduled starter for Wednesday's game when his club takes on Taijuan Walker and the Philadelphia Phillies, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. The former fifth-round pick hasn't started a game since May 7 and has been in and out of the rotation all year. Through eight games (four starts), Stripling has posted a 7.14 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 18.3% strikeout rate over 29 innings. It comes after a dominant 2022 season, in which he pitched to a 3.01 ERA with the Toronto Blue Jays. With Sean Manaea regulated to the bullpen after another poor start on Tuesday, Stripling might get a chance to stick in the rotation, though it doesn't add much to his fantasy value and fantasy managers should leave him on the wire in all leagues for now.
