Ross Stripling Activated From DL
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated starting pitcher Ross Stripling (toe) from the 10-day disabled list on Thursday and optioned relief pitcher Pat Venditte to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Stripling was an All-Star but had a 4.73 ERA with six home runs allowed in 26 2/3 innings in his last five starts in July. He'll return to the rotation against Colorado at Coors Field on Thursday, which makes him a risky play right off the DL. On the year he's a solid 8-3 with a 2.68 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 119 strikeouts in 104 innings. He could be moved to the bullpen whenever Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) is ready to rejoin the rotation.
