Ross Detwiler Signs Minors Deal With Reds
3 years agoFree-agent left-hander Ross Detwiler signed a minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Detwiler might need to build up more after not being with a team during spring training, but he could eventually settle at Triple-A Louisville. The 36-year-old veteran will provide the Reds with bullpen depth in the minors or in Cincinnati, but he won't be on the fantasy radar. Detwiler had a 4.64 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 62 strikeouts and 20 walks in 52 1/3 innings over 53 outings (five starts) for the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres. The southpaw has a 4.56 career ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 725 2/3 innings over 277 outings (100 starts) in 13 major league seasons.
