Colorado Avalanche forward Ross Colton has landed himself a four-year, $16 million extension. The 26-year-old had filed for arbitration before coming to an agreement on a new contract with the team. Colton is set to start his first season in Denver after being acquired by the Avalanche from Tampa Bay ahead of last month's draft. The former fourth-round pick has recorded 47 goals and 83 points in 190 regular-season games, while also delivering 377 hits.
