Ronald Jones II Underwhelms In Week 6
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II was unable to get going Sunday, gaining only 10 yards on four carries, but did score a touchdown to save his day. Jones again fell victim to the Bucs unpredictable backfield rotation after starting to seemingly separate himself from the pack, seeing fewer snaps and touches than fellow backfield mate Peyton Barber in Week 6. It will be hard for fantasy owners to trust Jones until something changes in that backfield. Until then, he can be considered a very low-end bye week fill-in option. The Bucs are off in Week 7 before a tough matchup against the Titans in Week 8.

Ronald Jones Could Play In Preseason Finale
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ronald Jones (groin) returned to training camp practice on Tuesday, suggesting that he could make his preseason debut this Saturday in the team's preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders. It's been a bad summer for Jones, who has missed valuable time with a groin injury while also being suspended for the first two games of the 2023 season for performance-enhancing drugs. When he's healthy and back from his suspension in Week 3, he'll be battling Rico Dowdle, impressive rookie Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis for backup work behind starter Tony Pollard in Dallas' backfield. Jones should be off the fantasy radar in most upcoming drafts.

Ronald Jones Likely To Miss Preseason Opener
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ronald Jones (groin) is not practicing on Tuesday and is likely to miss the team's preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. It's a tough development for Jones after he was handed a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's PED policy. The Cowboys listed the two-time Super Bowl Champion behind Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle, and Malik Davis on its initial depth chart, so his chances to make the 53-man roster could be dwindling. Jones was a healthy scratch for the Kansas City Chiefs last season on many occasions and his career outlook is looking bleak.

Ronald Jones Dealing With Groin Injury
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ronald Jones (groin) is set to miss practice time after suffering a groin injury on Saturday. The 26-year-old was recently given a two-game suspension for PEDs, so his stock is continuing to fall as the preseason progresses. Ultimately, the two-time Super Bowl Champion isn't a lock to make the Cowboys' 53-man roster, so any lost practice time is bad news. He's competing with Malik Davis, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn to earn a reserve role behind Tony Pollard in 2023.

Ronald Jones Suspended For PEDs
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ronald Jones has been suspended by the NFL on Monday for the first two games of the 2023 regular season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Jones will be eligible to play in the preseason and continue practicing in training camp, but he'll miss the first two games of the season. Tony Pollard (ankle) is expected to be good to go for the start of the regular season as Dallas' lead back, but Malik Davis should now see an elevated role behind him in the first two weeks of the season with Jones now suspended. Rookie Deuce Vaughn and Rico Dowdle could also see more work early in the year with Jones sidelined. When healthy, the 25-year-old Jones should have more opportunity than he did in Kansas City last year, but that doesn't mean he'll be fantasy relevant.
