Romeo Doubs Quiet During Week 5 Loss
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught three of his five targets, gaining 29 yards, during the team's 27-22 loss to the New York Giants Sunday. The five targets were the lowest the rookie receiver had seen since Week 2, and he rotated more often with fellow rookie Christian Watson (hamstring) during the first half. However, Watson exited the game and did not return due to the hamstring injury. His status moving forward is up in the air, and if he misses more time, then Doubs will be in for a high snap share once again. With three favorable matchups over the next four weeks, the 22-year-old will be a decent FLEX option. With that said, it is safe to say he is not the No. 1 target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers like some had hoped coming into this game. Doubs should be considered a FLEX option next week when he faces the New York Jets in Green Bay.
