Romeo Doubs Has Flex Appeal Against Detroit
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face the Detroit Lions in Week 9. After three straight poor performances from Weeks 5-7, the rookie receiver surprised many against a stout Buffalo defense last week, catching four passes for 62 yards and a score. Doubs has remained on the field for an average of 88.3% of the offensive snaps the past month and is the clear No. 2 option behind teammate Allen Lazard. The big question for Doubs will be the potential return of Christian Watson (concussion). Watson caught one pass before entering the concussion protocol last week but has been progressing quickly through it in practice. If Watson is cleared to play, Doubs becomes a bit more of a risky FLEX option. However, with Detroit allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position, the 22-year-old could still be used in a pinch with six teams out on a bye. Doubs should be considered a boom or bust WR3 in Week 9.
