Roman Quinn Set For Surgery
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfield prospect Roman Quinn’s extensive injury history took another hit on Monday when the club announced he’d undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right middle finger. The 25-year-old outfielder, who was recently given some time at shortstop, has dealt with a series of injuries over the past seven years, including a torn Achilles tendon, torn left quadriceps, a concussion and a strained elbow ligament. The injury occurred last week when Quinn, playing at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, was diving into a base. His only stint in the majors came in September of 2016 when he picked up 15 hits in 57 plate appearances.
