5 months agoNew York Yankees shortstop prospect Roderick Arias tallied three hits on Friday evening with a triple and a home run and brought home a career-high six runs. Arias has struggled through his first look at Single-A ball but has recently begun to string together strong performances. Over his past 17 games, the 19-year-old is riding a .260/.291/.425 line with 15 RBI and five swiped bags. However, overall on the season, the switch-hitter holds an underwhelming .218/.321/.359 line with 29 RBI and 14 stolen bases through 52 games. Arias is ranked as the number four prospect in the Yankee system on MLB Pipeline and is not projected to reach the majors until 2027.
