Rockies Re-Sign Jhoulys Chacin
3 years agoThe Colorado Rockies have re-signed pitcher Jhoulys Chacin to a one-year deal, according to The Gazette's Danielle Allentuck. Chacin mostly pitched as a reliever last season for Colorado, turning in a 4.34 ERA and a 4.63 FIP in 64 1/3 innings. The veteran recorded 17 holds while also registering 47 strikeouts and 28 walks. He didn't record a save last season, as most of Colorado's save opportunities went to either Daniel Bard or Carlos Estevez. In addition to Chacin, Bard and Estevez, the Rockies current bullpen options include Robert Stephenson, Lucas Gilbreath, Jordan Sheffield and Tyler Kinley.
