Rockies Hopeful About German Marquez's Injury
2 years agoColorado Rockies starter German Marquez (forearm) left Monday's start prematurely after experiencing right forearm tightness before the sixth inning. However, after the contest, both the 28-year-old and the club were optimistic about the ailment, and he only left the game as a precaution. There's still more to come, but so far, it's good news for the Rockies, who are hoping to have Marquez cleared for his next start. He owns a 4.41 ERA, 20.6% strikeout rate, 3.2% walk rate, and 0.92 WHIP with two victories over three starts. The righty is a solid arm considering he pitches at Coors Field, but that severely hurts his fantasy value, and fantasy managers should only roster Marquez in deeper leagues.
