Rockies Hopeful About German Marquez's Injury
Colorado Rockies starter German Marquez (forearm) left Monday's start prematurely after experiencing right forearm tightness before the sixth inning. However, after the contest, both the 28-year-old and the club were optimistic about the ailment, and he only left the game as a precaution. There's still more to come, but so far, it's good news for the Rockies, who are hoping to have Marquez cleared for his next start. He owns a 4.41 ERA, 20.6% strikeout rate, 3.2% walk rate, and 0.92 WHIP with two victories over three starts. The righty is a solid arm considering he pitches at Coors Field, but that severely hurts his fantasy value, and fantasy managers should only roster Marquez in deeper leagues.
