Rockies Have Interest In Edward Cabrera, Corey Dickerson
2 years agoThe Colorado Rockies have talked about acquiring starting pitcher Edward Cabrera from the Miami Marlins, who are seeking hitters, even after signing infielder Jean Segura this week. The Marlins have sought Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers. The Marlins plan on using Segura at third base and already have Jazz Chisholm locked in at the keystone. The Rockies also have interest in a left-handed-hitting outfielder and might consider bringing Corey Dickerson, who began his career in Colorado, back into the fold. The Rockies can always use more pitching, and Cabrera would represent a young, controllable arm. He's coming off a solid second year in the big leagues in which he went 6-4 with a 3.01 ERA (4.59 FIP), 1.07 WHIP and 25.8 percent strikeout rate in just 14 starts covering 71 2/3 innings.
