Rockies Contemplating Change Amidst Wade Davis' Struggles
5 years agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said the team is contemplating a change at the back of their bullpen with closer Wade Davis struggling. Davis has been very shaky all year with a 6.00 ERA, 1.83 WHIP, 11 saves, 24 strikeouts and 16 walks in 24 innings for the Rockies. He's been even more awful since returning from the injured list recently, and it culminated when Davis allowed four runs in a tie game on Thursday against the Dodgers. If a change is made, Scott Oberg will likely be the one to see more save chances. The right-hander has been much better, sporting a 2.04 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, three saves and 43 K's in his 39 2/3 frames. Pick him up now if you're searching for saves.
