Roberto Perez Seen Wearing a Cast After Leaving Sunday's Game

Cleveland Indians catcher Roberto Perez was forced to leave Sunday's game after being hit by a pitch in the right hand. He tried to play through the pain at first, but was soon after replaced by Yan Gomes. After the game, Perez was seen wearing a cast on his hand, and x-rays were reportedly sent to a hand specialist for a second opinion. No announcement has been made yet, but it would be a surprise if Perez didn't wind up on the disabled list at least for the minimum stint. Gomes will continue to start behind the plate, but Cleveland would need to call up a backup.
