Roberto Osuna Suspended 75 Games
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna has been suspended 75 games by commissioner Rob Manfred for violating the domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policies. The suspension is retroactive to May 8 (when Osuna was first placed on administrative leave), but Osuna won't be able to play until August 5, meaning he will be suspended an additional 36 games. Ryan Tepera will have a comfortable hold on the closer's role for now, and there's no guarantee that Osuna will get his job back upon his return. Still, you're likely holding onto Osuna in most leagues in the event that the Blue Jays give him the ninth-inning job back in August.
