Robert Tonyan Catches Four Passes During Loss
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan caught all four of his targets and gained 23 yards during the team's 27-22 loss to the New York Giants Sunday. A Packers' tight end did catch a touchdown in this game, but it was veteran Marcedes Lewis. The 28-year-old has yet to clear 40 receiving yards in a game through five weeks and has only found the end zone once. There was hope Tonyan would see an increase in usage, especially around the end zone, after Davante Adams left, but it has not materialized. Moving forward, Tonyan should be considered a touchdown-dependent streaming option only usable during plus matchups. Thankfully for him, next week's home matchup against the Jets keeps him squarely in the streaming category for Week 6.
