Robert Tonyan A Low-Tier Streaming Option
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan will face the New York Jets in Green Bay this Sunday. Since being targeted seven times in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 28-year-old has played fewer than 50% of the offensive snaps and totaled six targets over the past two weeks. The matchup against the Jets is not one that should scare fantasy managers. New York has allowed an average of 4.6 receptions and 54 yards per game to the tight end position, but they are one of the few remaining teams that have yet to allow a touchdown to the position. Since Tonyan has scored just once through five games and has an inconsistent target share, he offers little value this week. He should be considered a low-tier streaming option but is not a recommended start for Week 6.
