Robert Suarez Records 22nd Save
4 months agoSan Diego Padres closer Robert Suarez earned his 22nd save of the season in Thursday's victory versus the Texas Rangers. Suarez allowed a walk in his inning of work, but also recorded a strikeout to lead the Padres to their 48th victory. Suarez has quietly been having a very strong season in the closers role for the Padres and owns a miniscule 1.02 ERA in 35 1/3 innings with 33 strikeouts. Suarez hasn't missed a beat since replacing Josh Hader, who left the Padres for the Houston Astros in free agency. The right-hander remains one of the best closers in the game and should be rostered in all formats moving forward.
