Robert Gsellman, Seth Lugo Could Enter Rotation
5 years agoNew York Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said that relief pitchers Robert Gsellman and/or Seth Lugo could be shifted to starting roles in 2020 with Zack Wheeler potentially moving on in free agency. Lugo and Gsellman have both been more effective in relief, but both could be effective streamers in the right matchups in deeper leagues if they're starting for New York next season. Gsellman notably failed in a starting role several years ago, which could make Lugo the better candidate to join the rotation. We'll have to wait and see in spring training how the Mets approach their rotation.
