Robby Anderson, Trumaine Johnson Doubtful
6 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson (ankle) and cornerback Trumaine Johnson (quadriceps) are both listed as doubtful to play in Week 8 against the Bears. With Quincy Enunwa (ankle) also out, Jermaine Kearse will be the team's top receiver. It's a big downgrade for rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Recently-signed wideout Rishard Matthews could also see a big role right away. Tight end Chris Herndon IV, who has been a popular target of Darnold's of late, is also in play as a desperation tight end streamer. With Johnson still out and Morris Claiborne (foot, shoulder) and safety Marcus Maye (thumb) questionable, New York's secondary remains extremely vulnerable. Bears QB Mitch Trubisky could have another big game.
