Robbie Ray Dominates on Friday
5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks left-hander Robbie Ray twirled a gem on Friday in a win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Ray threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing just one run on two hits to go along with eight strikeouts. He lowered his ERA to 3.81 in the process. It's never been a question of talent for Ray, it's been efficiency that has plagued him in starts when he struggles. The southpaw now has back-to-back quality starts in which he has pitched into the seventh inning, proving that he may have figured something out. He will take the bump again next week against the Milwaukee Brewers.
