Robbie Grossman, Victor Reyes Nearing Rehab Assignments
Robbie Grossman (neck) and Victor Reyes (quadriceps) could start minor league rehab assignments early next week. Grossman has been on the injured list for around a week, and he could rejoin the Tigers at some point next week, barring any setbacks on his rehab assignment. The 32-year-old switch-hitter just hasn't been able to get off the ground in 141 at-bats this year, as he's hitting just .199/.311/.241 with no home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and two stolen bases in 42 games. Reyes went on the IL on May 16 with a right quadriceps strain. The 27-year-old was hitting .292/.346/.458 with an .804 OPS, no home runs, four RBI and one run scored in 11 games before his injury, and he should return to at least semi-regular playing time when he's reinstated.
