Robbie Grossman Having Solid First Spring With Tigers
4 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Robbie Grossman signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the team this offseason. After two straight years with the Oakland Athletics, Grossman now finds himself within a weaker batting order in Detroit. Run production will be lower for Grossman on a per-at-bat basis, but he should see a more featured spot in the Tigers lineup, potentially even serving as the team's leadoff hitter. So far this spring, Grossman has slashed .238/.360/.524 with three home runs, three doubles and eight runs over 42 at-bats. He has seven walks and 12 strikeouts. He's a solid player to target for outfield depth in deep leagues and AL-only leagues.
