Riley Greene Likely To Miss Over Six To Eight Weeks
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene (foot) fractured his right foot during Spring Training. He was originally given a timeline of six to eight weeks, but according to a report from Lynn Henning of The Detroit News, Greene's recovery will likely take longer than originally estimated. The reasoning for the extended timeline has to do with the nature of the fracture. The navicular bone was the fractured bone and it was a non-displaced fracture. He will not be undergoing surgery and will have to wait for the bone to heal. While the 21-year-old prospect is out, the Tigers will move forward with Akil Baddoo as the team's primary center fielder.
