Riley Greene Hits Walk-Off Homer On Saturday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene chose the perfect occasion to hit his first major league home run. In Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals, he came up to bat during a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning. He went on to hit a 432-foot, walk-off homer to center field. The rookie batted leadoff on Saturday for the second straight game, and it seems likely that he'll remain in the leadoff spot going forward, which makes him all the more intriguing for fantasy purposes. Through his first 12 MLB games, the 21-year-old has slashed .302/.434/.442 with 10 walks compared to eight strikeouts.
