With Vince Velasquez absolutely dealing on the mound Thursday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies offense pounded Colorado’s pitching as they coasted to victory. The star of the show on offense was Rhys Hoskins, who recorded a game-high three hits. His first came in the game’s opening inning, as he opened the scoring with a solo home run. In the seventh inning with the team holding a two-run lead, he doubled in another run before adding one more in the eighth. The 25-year-old is once again rounding into form, hitting .318 with eight RBI over the past seven games.
