Rhett Lowder Has Another Strong Outing At Double-A
3 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitching prospect Rhett Lowder continued to turn the corner at Double-A as he logged another successful start on Thursday evening. He tossed five shutout frames where he served up four hits and a walk while striking out five batters. In his past four starts, the former first-round pick in last year's draft sits with a stellar 0.41 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP. Prior to this stretch, he posted a 6.52 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and an 11:50 BB:K ratio across his first 48 frames at Double-A. Given his recent turnaround, the right-hander could have a chance of moving up to Triple-A in the coming weeks and potentially a late-season major league debut.
