Rhett Lowder Continues Strong Run With Another Stellar Outing
3 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitching prospect Rhett Lowder continued to dominate Double-A with another excellent outing on Wednesday night. Lowder logged seven innings of one-run ball while striking out eight batters. He allowed just four hits and one free pass. Across his past five starts at Double-A Chattanooga, the right-hander has held a near-perfect 0.62 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, and a 7:27 BB:K. This is a stark contrast to his previous five starts before this stretch, where he posted a 6.55 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP. Given his recent stretch at Double-A, Lowder should have a good chance of reaching Triple-A later this summer and even potentially earn a small taste of the big leagues.
